Who We Are
UnionCare is a Residential Habilitation Agency dedicated to improving quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through person-centered support, we help participants work toward their desired life goals while giving families peace of mind that their loved one is receiving compassionate, reliable care.
Our services are designed to support independence in the home and throughout the community. We focus on life skills, safety, personal choice, dignity, inclusion, and meaningful daily routines.

Our Story
UnionCare was founded by Guershon Safari with a commitment to serve individuals and families with excellence, respect, and compassion. After years of experience in residential services, UnionCare was created to provide high-quality support that helps people grow, participate, and thrive.

Meet Our Founder
Guershon Safari — Founder & Administrator
“We are one through God's creation.”
Guershon Safari, a devoted husband and father of five, was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and fled war with his family at age two, growing up in a refugee camp in Tanzania, where he volunteered helping orphans and the injured. At 17, his family immigrated to Boise, Idaho. He graduated from Borah High School and Hesston College on academic and soccer scholarships, later earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies from Boise State University. Over 12 years as a caregiver and supervisor—serving with HisWay, HAS Inc. (now HAS LLC), and Inclusion Inc.—he found his calling and founded UnionCare to help individuals live with dignity and independence.
